Burberry Touch is the first scent that really opened my eyes to how fragrance can affect how you feel about yourself.
When I was starting out in my career, I felt a little out of place when choosing an office cologne. I wanted something professional, but an intern hardly has the budget to splash out on designer fragrances from a Creed or a Tom Ford.
So what’s a Gent to do? Burberry Touch, that’s what.
This is a budget cologne that performs like something 3 or 4 times the price, in my opinion.
In this Burberry Touch review, I’ll cover the note profile, performance stats, and how to get it at the best price – basically everything you need to know to decide if it’s right for you.
So let’s get into my guide to the most underrated office scent on the planet.
What Does Burberry Touch Smell Like?
The main sense I get is a clean feeling all day. It makes me feel fresh, but there’s also enough going on that I can show a bit of personality.
Perfect for retaining a fresh and clean feeling in the office.
Longevity is excellent at over 10 hours. Plenty to cover you for a full working day.
There’s a snap of white pepper in the top notes, followed by a bright heart of nutmeg, violet, and succulent mandarin. Touch is not your generic citrus freshie, but it does still feel a little juicy. The floral elements are tastefully done and definitely point towards sophistication rather than femininity.
The dry down is relatively powdery with just the right amount of florality, giving off a pretty unisex vibe but with enough masculinity from a streak of cedar to keep it on the right side of the line for men.
In the base, white musk combines with subtle woodsiness and tonka bean for a rich and creamy landing.
Burberry Touch makes me think of a handsome, professional gent with an open and friendly persona. He’s smart, quick-witted, and inviting – but a little mysterious at the same time.
I think they should pump it directly into the AC of most office blocks to improve morale, but I am yet to hear back from the guys at Burberry about that particular plan.
Top Notes: | Violet Leaf, Artemisia and Mandarin Orange |
Middle Notes: | White Pepper, Cedar and Nutmeg |
Base Notes: | White Musk, Tonka Bean and Vetiver |
Designer: | Jean-Pierre Bethouart |
Year launched | 2000 |
How Long Does Burberry Touch Last?
For a budget cologne, Burberry Touch lasts forever. I get up to 10 hours out of this cologne, which is plenty to cover me for a full day at the office.
The projection is subtle too, which is ideal for not overpowering your colleagues. You can still notice it, but it’s an intimate scent that will only attract attention when folks come up close.
I also like the fact that Burberry Touch evolves subtly over time. The initial citrus freshness gradually morphs into a more powdery and comforting base of musky tonka bean, so you really get the feeling of unwrapping this scent throughout the day.
Because it lasts so long, a bottle of Burberry Touch will last you months. I only use a couple of spritzes per day and that serves me just fine.

How Much Does Burberry Touch Cost?
(Prices below are from FraganceX.com)
If you’ve got budget limitations, the cheapest Burberry Touch is the 1 oz EDT for $30.86.
However, the cost per spray gets far cheaper the larger the bottle you buy, so it’s best to invest in the 3.3 oz if you want to save money in the long run.
Volume Oz | Burberry Touch EDT Cost | Burberry Touch EDT Cost per Oz |
---|---|---|
1.0 | $30.86 | $30.86 |
1.7 | $34.11 | $20.06 |
3.3 | $43.04 | $13.04 |
Which is Better – Burberry Touch vs Burberry London
Both London and Touch have pretty focused note profiles – they’re uncluttered compositions, which is what you should look for in a budget cologne. Rather be good at one thing than messy and confused trying to reinvent the wheel.

- Perfect for retaining a fresh and clean feeling in the office.
- Longevity is excellent at over 10 hours. Plenty to cover you for a full working day.
- Distinguished, gentlemanly masculinity in this crowd-pleasing scent.
- Notes of leather, cinnamon, lavender, and tobacco on a woodsy base.
I think the main factor in deciding which is right for you is probably seasonality. London is a Winter / Autumn fragrance to its core, with aromatic spice, warmth, and sweetness that would feel a little cloying in the summer heat.
Touch, on the other hand, is more versatile – if a little more conservative. It presents a fresher, cleaner brand of masculinity, and I’d recommend it as a dependable office pick throughout the year.
I also find London to be a little more mature than Touch. The notes are deeper and more traditionally masculine than in Touch, which is pretty gender-neutral beyond a dash of fresh cedar and musk. As such, I’d recommend Burberry London to older Gents who prefer more “alpha” scents but would probably tell them to give Touch a miss.
In terms of price, there’s really not much in it. It varies depending on the retailer, with either Touch or London being 10% cheaper – but it’s about 50-50.
Where to Buy Burberry Touch Online
If you’re looking to buy colognes online, you need to make sure you use a reputable retailer.
There’s nothing worse than placing an order that feels a little too good to be true, only to receive a cologne that underwhelms because it’s obviously a knock-off. Or worse yet, doesn’t arrive at all.
For the best prices and shipping times, I recommend shopping through FragranceX. They have great shipping times, and cut-price offers by selling cologne testers that have never been used.
Otherwise, you could order through Amazon – just make sure you check out the reviews beforehand to make sure you’re purchasing from a reputable vendor.
