You do know Jimmy Choo isn’t just about girls’ heels, right?
The best Jimmy Choo colognes are a solid option for men who are looking for a well-balanced, versatile scent rather than anything too abstract.
They appeal to younger men who want to project a clean and self-assured brand of confidence.
Jimmy Choo got his start from his parents, following in the footsteps of his shoemaker father. Since then, they’ve gone from producing shoes for royalty to opening an impressive portfolio of boutique stores.
Best Jimmy Choo Colognes
Shoes fit for a Princess, and colognes fit for a King: let’s get into the best Jimmy Choo Colognes for Men.
Jimmy Choo Urban Hero Eau de Toilette – Best Jimmy Choo Cologne for Confidence Boosting
Urban Hero is best described as leather with good manners. It’s not pushy, but no pushover either.
It’s the best Jimmy Choo cologne if you’re looking for a confidence-boosting cologne that smells masculine without becoming domineering.
It’s got a mysterious but fresh vibe, like an antique apothecary shop. Urban Hero is a mass appeal cologne for sure, and unlikely to offend anyone.
The opening is full of sweet lime and prickly pepper. There’s also a note of warming incense that reminds me of Victor and Rolf’s Spicebomb
The spicy citrus persists but does settle down through the day to make space for green and fresh vetiver. Then comes sweet amber, and it’s all held together by a masculine base of leather and rosewood.
It’s the best Jimmy Choo cologne for longevity and projection- even better than their “intense” offering. For me, it clocks in an impressive 8-9 hours from a couple of sprays. Keep that in mind if you plan on wearing Urban Hero at the office to avoid overwhelming your colleagues.
It’s got enough vigor in the base to match your masculine energy, but the incense elevates it to a sort of regal, King-like energy. It’s not just brute force, but decadence, too.
The freshness of the citrus lends Urban Hero to summer or spring use, and it’s versatile enough to wear pretty much anywhere. I don’t have any problems wearing it to work on a Friday and then heading out for an evening at the bar.
The bottle itself is beautiful if you’re into that sort of thing. The minimalist design is like a modern hipflask made of metal and glass. Even the cap is delicately detailed. Y
ou can tell a lot of work has gone into reflecting that Urban Hero is intended to be stowed discreetly and deployed as a secret weapon.
|Top Notes:||Finger Lime and Black Pepper|
|Middle Notes:||Amber and Vetiver|
|Base Notes:||Leather and Rosewood|
Jimmy Choo Man Blue Eau de Toilette – Best Jimmy Choo Cologne for Spring and Summer
Man Blue is the only blue Jimmy Choo cologne, a fresh everyday fragrance ideal for warmer weather and an active lifestyle.
It’s the best Jimmy Choo cologne for the gym as it’s unlikely to offend others and makes me feel shower-fresh throughout my workout.
Like Urban Hero, the opening is peppery, but in Man Blue, that vanishes after an hour. From there on it’s all about fruity, marine accords with a touch of elegant vanilla sweetness. There’s a primary pineapple note like the one in Gucci Guilty that I adore.
The ambergris is well used and gives Man Blue enough saltiness to imitate the ocean breeze. It’s a perfect combination, like piña coladas on the beach.
An earthy sage heart and leathery, powdery sandalwood base dirty Man Blue up enough to add some masculinity.
Longevity is also solid here. It’s not the best Jimmy Choo cologne for projection, but you’ll get 6-7 hours of meaningful projection before Man Blue becomes a skin scent.
It’s a solid choice for a man or young man looking for something modern and clean. It’s smooth and office safe, impossible to hate.
Man Blue is a crowd-pleasing and invigorating fragrance that has more maturity than some of the other blue colognes out there. It’s not only about “summer good times”. Man Blue is more serious, with a touch of sensuality and romance.
For me, it’s borderline signature fragrance material.
|Top Notes:||Lavender, Bergamot and Sage|
|Middles Notes:||Pineapple, Apple, Amber and Leather|
|Base Notes:||Vetiver, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Vanilla|
Jimmy Choo Man Eau de Toilette – Best Jimmy Choo Cologne for Versatility and Daily Wear
Jimmy Choo Man is for the well-kept young man. They’ve got Kit Harrington on the campaign posters, which should give you an idea.
It’s pitched as an inoffensive and versatile fragrance for all weathers and occasions.
The first thing you’ll note is that Jimmy Choo Man is very fruity. It’s pineapple and melon stacked on top of more pineapple and melon, with a side of pineapple and… melon. It gives me Aventus Creed vibes dialed up to 11.
Even so, there’s enough musk and patchouli in the base to keep Jimmy Choo Man smelling masculine and confident. There’s also pink pepper in the heart, adding a touch of welcome spice, heat, and passion.
For the first hour or two, you’ll be picking up compliments left, right, and center. To my disappointment, this doesn’t last.
Jimmy Choo Man is one of those fragrances that feels a little watery when you apply it, and you can tell it isn’t going to hang in there long.
By the time I get to lunch, people will only smell me when they’re within half arm’s reach. However, that might appeal if you’re just looking for something fresh for indoor environments like the office or gym, where heavy projection is not a priority,
If Jimmy Choo Man has better performance it would be a must-have for me- but I prefer something that’s more likely to be noticed.
In this price range, I’d be more likely to grab a bottle of Calvin Klein’s CK One, which has a similar light and fruity feel.
|Top Notes:||Lavender, mandarin and Honeydew Melon|
|Middle Notes:||Pink Pepper, Pineapple Leaf and Geranium|
|Base Notes:||Suede, Ambery Woods and Patchouli|
Jimmy Choo Man Intense Eau de Toilette – Best Jimmy Choo Cologne for Date Night
Man Intense is a dark, semi-sweet fragrance that feels modern and youthful.
It is seductive and alluring and strikes me as the best Jimmy Choo cologne for date night. It’s like a more well-rounded version of Jimmy Choo Man, and this moody upgrade on the original is likely to be a hit with women under 40.
It starts soapy sweet with a spicy kick, before calming down with patchouli and labdanum. There’s a fruity opening that evokes the melon accord in Jimmy Choo Man, but with a sour quality that’s less generic than the original.
Combined with tonka bean and black pepper, it’s a smokey sweet concoction that seems to have date night at the front of mind.
Like Jimmy Choo Man, performance is not good, particularly for an “Intense” offering. It lasts about 4 hours before becoming a skin scent. I find I have to spray Man Intense on my clothes to come close to lasting a full day without reapplying.
Man Intense feels like what Jimmy Choo Man should have been. For me, the quality of the fragrance itself would justify the buy, but I doubt this will be the case for everyone. It’s not the best Jimmy Choo cologne if you’re looking for something strong and bold.
One thing that struck me: the atomizer itself is excellent. Great power and consistent distribution, it’s one of the best I’ve come across.
|Top Notes:||Melon, Lavender and Mandarin Orange|
|Middle Notes:||Black Pepper and Geranium|
|Base Notes:||Patchouli, Labdanum and Tonka Bean|
Bonus – Jimmy Choo Man Eau de Toilette Set – Best Jimmy Choo Product for Travel/Gifting
During my research for this article, I came across Jimmy Choo’s Eau de Toilette set.
I haven’t been able to try their bathing and shaving products yet, but this may be an option if you’re a frequent traveler looking for an all-in-one set.
It contains a full-size Jimmy Choo Man bottle and a travel-sized vial, along with their shower gel and after-shave balm.

|Bottom Notes||These notes are usually heavier, and persist longest throughout the day. They’re often referred to as the base notes.|
|Projection||How far the fragrance emits from your body. Imagine it as the fragrance bubble that follows you around.|
|Longevity||How long your cologne will project meaningful scent throughout the day.|
FAQ: What You Need to Know About Jimmy Choo Colognes
So, Which One Do I Choose?
The best Jimmy Choo cologne for you will depend on how often you are willing to apply it throughout the day.
If you fall in love with the fruity sweetness of Jimmy Choo Man, I’d recommend giving Man Intense a try to get more bang for your buck. You’ll still need to apply that more than once a day, though.
Otherwise, go for the longer-lasting Urban Hero or Man Blue. They’re both fresher options, and more suited to warmer months than to use as a general all-rounder.
How Do I Get Hold of a Bottle?
It’s best to shop for high-end men’s colognes through a reputable retailer to avoid counterfeit products.
I’d recommend shopping through Nordstrom. They provide competitive pricing, quick shipping times to the US, and a wide range of the best Jimmy Choo colognes.
At the time of writing, they have good stock availability, so you can pick up the perfect cologne for your personality!
